There is no better gauge for testing the cultural vibrancy and health of a community than measuring its citizens’ commitments and contributions to The Arts.
By sponsoring a PMFF screening or educational workshop you and/or your business will be identified as an engaged member of your community. Whether it’s a documentary film about an important local or global issue, a comedy or a kids program, we will have a story that will pique your interest and put your show of support in the spotlight.
It takes a lot of time and money to produce a cultural event of this magnitude and your support has enabled us to invite industry press, Festival Directors, film crews and attendees that contribute to Portland’s culture. These visitors add to the fiscal health of Portland by partaking in all that our town has to offer.
The Portland Maine Film Festival presents entertaining cinema, informative panel discussions and fabulous celebrations featuring Portland’s finest food and sumptuous offerings. The festival affords networking opportunities for visiting film crews, festival attendees, Portland’s businesses and community live wires.
Please join us for our second year to support the motion picture arts in Maine.

We all want to do some good in the world, right?

By sponsoring a PMFF screening or educational workshop you and/ or your business is identified as an engaged member of your community. Support Our Local Culture
With your sponsorship, you support Portland Maine Film Festival’s #1 goal of celebrating Maine’s artistic film making community.
This year a talented local filmmaker will be presented (for the first time) with a “Best Made in Maine” Award that is sure to become a time honored tradition.
Festival Founder and Director Tyler Johnston states, “PMFF’s mission (in addition to adding a Maine film category) is to ‘promote Portland as a film hotspot’, and to ‘inspire Maine filmmakers’ and ‘lure the international film community to Portland.’” -Reported by DENNIS PERKINS of The Portland Press Herald 2010.
Support Workshops and Empower Youth
During the festival, opportunities abound to chat with visiting filmmakers, artists, writers, and film experts through educational panels, workshops, Q+A sessions and events.
This year with your generous support, we are excited to announce a “Best Youth Produced Film” Award made by kids <18 years of age. We will also present a “BEST CELL PHONE VIDEO” to further inspire the up and comers.
Last year at PMFF, a panel discussion at the Maine College of Art "The Future of Filmmaking in Maine," featured Maine filmmakers, educators and, USM film professor and filmmaker Kate Kamiski who is both. This year, PMFF will continue these artful collaborations that will educate, inform and inspire our students and future storytellers.
